Delete your data
Hair Mood · 2026-09-29
This page explains how to delete your data from Hair Mood: AI Hairstyle Try On (Hair Mood), published by Şafak Seyrek, and what is deleted and what is kept when you do. It applies to the iOS and Android versions of the app.
How to delete your data
Deletion is done from inside the app and takes effect immediately; there is no form to fill in and no reply to wait for:
- Open Hair Mood.
- Tap the Profile tab at the bottom.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Data Management.
- Confirm with Delete Permanently.
Your data is deleted from our server straight away. The app forgets its old identifier and starts again with a new, empty account; the old identifier can never be used again. Nothing is archived and deleted data cannot be restored.
If you can't open the app
If you can't open the app, write to saffakseyrek@gmail.com and we will help you delete your data. There is no sign-up, so your account is not tied to an email address; deleting from inside the app is the fastest and most certain way.
What is deleted
- The photos you uploaded
- The hair looks created for you, your history and your favorites
- Your stylist notes: salon cards, face-shape readings and event plans
- Your notification (push) token and your usage counters
What is kept
- A deleted-account marker. Only the one-way hash (SHA-256) of your old identifier, the deletion date and app settings (language, the notification switch) are kept, so that identifier cannot be used again. Linked to it, the subscription status (plan, expiry date, product id) and AI cost and notification records (model, token counts, cost, date, notification type) stay for accounting. They hold no photos, texts or results and do not identify you.
- Purchase records. Subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google, and subscription status is held by RevenueCat; they keep these records under their own policies for tax and accounting. Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your store account's subscription settings.
- Analytics. Usage, crash and campaign data collected by Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Tenjin is kept and deleted under those services' own retention periods.
- OpenAI. Content sent to create a look may be kept by OpenAI for a short time under its own API data policy.
Even without a request, uploaded photos are deleted automatically after 60 days.
Uninstalling is not enough
Uninstalling the app does not delete your data on our server. If you want it deleted, follow the steps above before you uninstall.
