Hair Mood lets you try hairstyles on a photo you upload. This page explains what data we process and why.
Account
There is no sign-up. On first launch the app creates a random identifier and keeps it in your device's secure keychain. Our server stores only a one-way hash (SHA-256) of it. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number.
Photos
- A photo you upload is used only to create the hair look you choose.
- The photo is sent to OpenAI for image editing, which processes it to provide the service.
- Uploaded photos are deleted after 60 days. Results stay in your history until you delete them.
- We do not use your photos for advertising or model training, and we do not sell them.
AI processing and your consent
Hair looks, face-shape readings, event plans and salon cards are created with OpenAI's AI models. To do this, your photo and any text you add (a hair description, an event note) are sent to OpenAI. Before any of these is sent for the first time, the app shows a screen explaining this and asks for your explicit consent; if you don't agree, nothing is sent. This data is used only to create the result you asked for, never for advertising, face recognition, identification or model training. To withdraw consent, delete your data in Data Management or uninstall the app.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never see payment details. RevenueCat is used to verify subscription status.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Profile → Settings → Data Management to permanently delete your photos, results and favorites. An active subscription is cancelled through your store account.
